- NAME: AQUALYX
- COMPOSITION: Sodium Deoxycholate: An agent that helps to break down the membranes of fat cells, facilitating their elimination from the body. 3D Polymers: These polymers help stabilise the solution and prolong its action in the adipose tissue. Dissolved salts: They help create an isotopic environment that facilitates the breakdown of fat cells without damaging the surrounding tissues.
- PRESENTATION: 10 x 8ml.
- INDICATIONS: Reduction of localised fat resistant to diet and exercise. It is particularly effective in the following areas: Chin (Double Chin): Reduces localised fat under the chin for a slimmer profile; abdomen and hips: helps define the abdominal area and reduce “pads” on the hips; thighs and arms: removes fat deposits in the inner and outer thighs and arms for a more toned and slimmer appearance.
- INJECTION DEPTH: Subcutaneous adipose tissue. AQUALYX must only and exclusively be infiltrated by intralipotherapy, using special Lipoinject needles).
- DURATION: Usually, the protocol involves 2 to 4 sessions, depending on the amount of fat to be treated and the area of the body concerned. Thereafter, maintenance sessions may be necessary depending on individual needs and desired results.

AQUALYX must only and exclusively be infiltrated by intralipototherapy, using special Lipoinject needles). The infiltration must be carried out homogeneously in the adipose tissue to be treated, this is ensured by the special introlipotherapy needles. After the session, the patient immediately returns to daily activities. Following the infiltration there may be oedematous reactions, small superficial haematomas or slight to moderate skin reddening, which must be considered normal for the type of treatment carried out and which resolve completely within a few days. Although the application is well tolerated, the possibility of rare reports of transient pain or itchy sensations cannot be excluded.

AQUALYX must be used in healthy subjects; it should not be injected in subjects with acute or chronic skin diseases of the area to be treated; in subjects with a positive history of anaphylactic reactions or severe allergies; in patients with severe organ or system diseases, including autoimmune diseases; in pregnant or lactating subjects.

AQUALYX is a solution without phosphatidylcholine, in which the main agent capable of bringing about the destruction of fat cells is a detergent (a depotionalised sodium deoxycholate). The detergent dissolves the fat by destroying the cell membrane - thus triggering the process of adipocytolysis. AQUALYX, therefore, once injected into the adipose tissue causes lysis of the plasma membranes of the fat cells, which release water and triglycerides, the former excreted via the renal route, and the latter metabolised through the hepatic filter. Unlike commonly used phosphatidylcholine solutions, AQUALYX is: painless and more effective, mini-invasive (1-4 injection sites), faster, fewer treatments required to achieve desired effects. The best effects can be obtained in patients with an adequate weight or slightly overweight patients with a local fat accumulation. Especially in the case of women with localised adiposity in anatomical areas such as the hips, “coulotte de cheval”, inner side of the knee, double chin, etc. that do not disappear despite diet and exercise. AQUALYX is not indicated in obese or markedly overweight patients.
